MAY 10 Lotus Yoga ~ A full spectrum practice
This practice is layered in a way that gives us access to deeper places within ourselves and our community. An exploration of the multi-dimensional qualities of traditional yoga with consideration and compassion for our mind and environment today. No two classes will be the same however each will include the following features:
circle-time and setting of intention
marma yoga / self care
pranayama
heat building to touch the whole body
apex pose or lesson
calming of body and cooling the head
relaxation
meditation
return to intention
There are no asanas, kriyas, bandhas or pranayamas which are exempt from a Lotus Yoga lesson plan. When appropriate, classes will include inversions, partner work, qi gong, chanting, hands-on adjustments and kundalini practices.
MAY 17 AcroYoga
AcroYoga blends the spiritual wisdom of yoga, the loving kindness of Thai massage, and the dynamic power of Acrobatics. These three ancient lineages form this practice that cultivates trust, connection and playfulness. There are 7 main elements that make up the practice: circle ceremony, asana, partner flow, Thai massage, therapeutic flying, inversions & spotting, and partner acrobatics.
