Class Descriptions

Baby & You
An impromptu gathering brings the circle together to stretch first you, then baby and then share the practice between both. A great way to safely stretch, massage, bond and laugh with your wee one and others

Breathe, Restore, Relax
A blend of therapeutic supported postures, calming breath work and meditative relaxation techniques soothes the nervous system and renders the yogi a feeling of absolute tranquility.

Cleanse, Core, Explore: Expect to practice Kundalini influenced Kriyas that evoke physical and emotional cleansing. When the core is toned and supple, the periphery follows suit and the spine becomes more stable. The concept of 'exploring' gives us license to adventure into unique postures, pranyayama (breathing techniques) and philosophy.

Forrest: Deep breathing, specific pose sequencing and longer posture holds increase strength, flexibility, and build strong abdominals. The yogi returns to feeling by reconnecting the emotional body with the physical body, thus inviting spirit in. Take these gifts beyond the mat and into the rest of your life. Feel better and find your truth through breath, strength, integrity and spirit.

Foundations of Hatha Yoga: Open your week with a gentle practice based on alignment principles and postures. The focus will vary between standing, seated and restorative postures to include backbends, forward bends, balancing and twisting.

Freedom in Flow: Surya Namaskar (Salute to the Sun) is a fluid and invigorating combination of postures practiced with a calm and steady mind and consistent breath. From standing postures to backbends, expect to delve into a diversity of challenging sequences and level 2/3 postures.

Hatha: This class is a good introduction to a variety of yoga postures which become a wonderful platform for stress relief, wellness and peace of mind. Here we work on balance, flexibility, strength and alignment to create a supple spine, promote circulation and improve the function of all the organs.

Hips & Healing: The hip joint completes the marriage of the lower half of the body with the upper half. A healthy hip joint can softly absorb the shock of walking, running, skiing, etc., and still provide a steady resting place from which the spine can rise. The hips hold a treasure trove of emotions, secrets, and history. When we focus a regular asana practice around the hips, it is natural for more profound layers of the body to unfurl, release and eventually heal.

Intro to Yoga: An introduction to the basics of yoga with an in depth explanation of postures combined with alignment and breathing techniques. Class is conducted at a relaxed pace to ensure a safe and informative experience for every body.

Kundalini Yoga: A physical, mental and spiritual practice built around set yoga exercises (kriyas) and mental practices (meditations) using movement, sound current and breath to relax and heal your mind and body. This is a powerful and effective system based on the teachings of the infamous and scholarly Yogi Bhajan, Ph.D. Through the Kundalini technology, we stimulate the nervous and immune systems, awakening great currents of energy and evoking a profound sense of happiness, which, according to Yogi Bhajan is everybody’s birth rite.

Noon Flow: An energizing hour to help you through your busy day. Hot Flow begins with Kriya, and progresses through sun salutations to build heat), sweating out impurities while moving with breath. Power Flow is a vigorous hour of music, movement and play. Slow Flow unwinds your work week with gentle, fluid stretches that bring your body and mind back into balance.

Power Yoga: Enjoy the best of many systems consciously blended to give you a heat building, well-rounded practice. Expect to flow with sun salutations, clean house with kriya, and explore a plethora of fun and unique postures. Often practiced with music.

Prenatal: A community of expecting Mommys practice in a safe environment to prepare their heart, hips, breath and mind for the birthing experience. You’ll be amazed by your body's capabilities, even at full term!

Slow Flow: Awaken the body, mind and breath with awareness, fluidity and restoration. Stoke your internal fire with invigorating pranayama (breathing techniques) and Slow Vinyasa (flowing postures) in a welcoming, supportive and meditative environment. By slowing down, we connect with pure consciousness and grasp a better understanding of our bodies and their needs.

Vipasana Meditation: Learn to focus your attention on your breathing and release your mind's continuous chatter. Let go of the daily 'roller-coaster-ride' of cravings and aversions, likes and dislikes. Beginners and all levels of experience welcome! This class is FREE & freeing!
