Private yoga classes provide unique opportunities to hone your personal practice, to deal with injuries or ‘tight’ spots, develop breath awareness and enjoy the kind of attention you cannot receive in a ‘drop-in’ class.
Individual
Who is well suited for one-on-one privates?
Those who are new to yoga: 1-3 private sessions will familiarize you with the key postures and breathing and give you a little confidence before dropping into a group class.
Anyone recovering from an injury: a private will show you modifications, strengthening techniques and postures to avoid as you heal and rebound.
The seasoned yogi: if you want to deepen your overall practice or fine-tune one aspect of it – perhaps backbends are frustrating and you cannot figure out how to improve them, or you are fearful of inverting but know that the benefits are great and want some extra guidance.
Group
Group private sessions can be as small as 2 people, or as large as 30. Examples include:
A few friends who want to work on the same issues: session functions like an individual private and can have a personalized specific focus.
A group celebrating a specific occasion: a birthday, office party, etc.
A group training together: cross-train with yoga for running, biking, triathlon races, or ski season.
Those who would like to book a time slot outside our regular schedule: any group of like minded-folks with a difficult schedule who might like to book an odd time-slot.
