Shelley Christopherson

I was introduced to the art and science of yoga in 2001 in Denver, Colorado. Since then, I have been influenced by the fundamental alignment techniques of Iyengar yoga, the strength and integrity of Ashtanga yoga, the subtlety and resonance of Bhakti yoga, and the grace of Anusara yoga. With a background in Comparative Religions, I arrive as a teacher with a context for the language, philosophy and spirituality that thrives within the ever-evolving yogic tradition.

After living, practicing and teaching in the small town of Hope, Alaska, I completed my 200 hour certification with an Iyengar/Ashtanga based school, The Denver Institute of Yoga, in 2005. Upon my return to Alaska I have taught in Denali National Park, Hope and Anchorage.

I dedicate myself to tapping the immeasurable wealth found within this transformative process that has been handed down to us through many great teachers and students. Through this quest, I am humbled and honored to teach, share and practice among the Alaskan yoga community.
