Guidelines
At Laughing Lotus Yoga of Anchorage, we strive to be friendly and welcoming to all students. Here are a few reminders to consider:
- New to Yoga? Begin with an Intro or Level 1/2 class.
- Unless otherwise noted, all classes on our schedule are ongoing; no need to pre-register.
- Plan ahead: do not eat much 2 hours prior to taking a class.
- Limit perfume or other strong scents.
- Please turn your cell phone OFF or on vibrate if you absolutely must have it on.
- Come 5-15 minutes early for your classes. Classes will begin on time in respect for the practice and will end on time with respect for you.
- Sign in at the front desk before class. Our teachers are compensated from this sheet.
- Wear comfortable clothes such as sweats, leggings, t-shirts, or tank tops. No shoes will be needed for any classes.
- Bring a water bottle and small hand towel. If you have a yoga mat please bring it to yoga classes. If not, we have mats you can borrow.
- Please tell the teacher about any ongoing injuries, pain, pregnancy, or medical conditions before the start of class.
- Please be gentle with yourself, others and the yoga space. We would like you to treat our little sanctuary as you would your own home.
- Please check for ALL of your belongings before leaving the studio. Laughing Lotus will be donating ‘lost and found’ items every 3 months.
- Be sure to sign-up for our newsletter and Facebook page in order to stay current on schedule updates, changes and other great events, and opportunities throughout the year.
